Burned in, not an overlay
The caption is rendered into the pixels of the video rather than attached as a subtitle track. That matters for social: platforms strip subtitle tracks, but burned text is part of the picture and always shows, including when someone saves the clip and reposts it.
Fonts and placement
Six fonts are available — Inter, Impact, Arial, Georgia, Courier and Cormorant — with a size slider and a colour picker with quick swatches. Drag the text directly on the video to place it. If you also crop, the caption stays positioned relative to the cropped frame, so it does not drift off screen.
Questions
Will the text be removable afterwards?
No. It is encoded into the video, which is the point — nothing downstream can strip it. Keep your original file if you might want a clean version.
Can I add more than one caption?
One text block per export at the moment. For a second line of text, export once and run the result through again.
Are the captions timed to speech?
No, this is not an auto-subtitle tool. The text is shown for the whole trimmed section you export.
Is there a watermark on the export?
No watermark and no sign-up. The only thing on the video is your own text.
